1. The Ancient Ram Inn, Wotton-Under-Edge, UK

Built in the 1100’s, this restaurant-hotel attracts visitors from all over the world so they could experience the supernatural occurrences it’s famous for. It’s believed that the establishment was built over a Pagan burial ground in which many children were sacrificed. People who stay at the Ancient Ram Inn have reported the sounds of terrifying screams and crying children. It’s also been reported that a little girl is seen in the halls, as well as moving furniture and the sensation of being pushed. Clearly, this places doesn't leave much to the imagination!

2. Monte Cristo Homestead, New South Wales, Australia

This historic place is considered to be one of the most haunted places in Australia, if not the single most haunted house in Australia. It was built in 1885 and owned by the Crawley family, who resided there from the time it was built up until 1948. The Monte Cristo Homestead is known to be haunted due to the many tragedies that occurred in the property throughout the years. From a young child’s tragic death who was dropped down the stairs, to a maid who had fallen from the balcony, this house doesn’t hold back when it comes to hauntings.

3. Lizzie Borden House, Fall River, Massachusetts

“Lizzie Borden took an ax and gave her mother forty whacks. When she saw what she had done, she gave her father forty-one.” We’ve all heard this terrifying poem about a young woman who allegedly brutally killed her parents in their house in 1892 with a hatchet. Even though Lizzie Borden was acquitted, people still suspected her of being the killer. Now a bed-and-breakfast, guests report many strange occurrences from sightings of dark figures to sinister laughter. It’s definitely a place to stay for the curious!
